Steve- Thank you for your sage commentary. As I’m sure you are aware, there are REALTOR members all over the country who are struggling with a myriad of additional issues which include the difficulty in finding financing or refinancing for land, second homes, resort properties (including many primary homes), investments, jumbo, and commercial properties. These segments of the market are not small ones and they affect a huge REALTOR population.
One need only to visit one of our western mountain communities, for example, to see homes that are only partially built, where the financing has been pulled back, leaving the builder struggling with no way to finish, carry, or sell the home. These issues affect thousands of our REALTORS and their home communities every day. It is important that our Leadership listen to the broad range of issues and realize their impact in order to truly be our “Voice of Real Estate.” Respectfully submitted.
