"We are going to be planting seeds in fallow ground over the next few months to reap a harvest of better housing and commercial real estate health later." In short, it is not right to just rely on what the administration can do to improve the housing market. But without the initiative from the proper offices, all works would still be futile!

Maybe it's finally time for the government to do what it has to do. Lots of families are now renting. Maybe if they can do something about mortgages and taxes, people will find it easier to own a home.

Over the next six months, NAR will continue to push Congress for a five-year NFIP re-authorization bill to provide certainty and avoid further disruption to real estate markets. - Suffice to say this is offering a whole new and brighter perspective for those a part of the real estate market. Floods can be extremely challenging to overcome and deal with especially if you're working in the real estate business.

It's true, realtors are the heart of a deal. It's good to have these kinds of recognition acknowledging the hard work and dedication of professionals in the field.

Congress is considering a number of proposals aimed at creating healthier housing and mortgage markets. ---> I definitely agree. We need friendlier mortgage markets as many people (nearly everyone) have been struggling mortgages for the longest time. A revival of the market means allowing people to gain back even the slightest of their purchasing power or financial capability.

It should be pointed out that Dodd or Franks the 2 men closest to the federal financial picture when everything was givin away have no business writing anything about guidlines.

I am happy to hear that NAR is involved in trying to point our politicians in the right direction.

allowing people to refinace without regard to home value if they have good credit good employment and is gaining some traction. If lenders would allow this with no additional money out there would be very little cost if any and could prevent some walkaway situations. This money is already at risk so being concerned about loan to value seems kind of foolish.

If NAR could give this a push it might help.

Keep up the good work on your up hill battle.

Most of the politicians have never had to qualify for a loan before so I am sure it's not easy for them to understand what is fair and safe at the same time.

thanks for your time and effort

Around the holidays I always make sure that I have an electronic realtor lockbox on the door. It give my clients that added layer of security around the holidays when they have kids and gifts inside.
